Duties:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

- Meets all established service goals as measured by the Internal Service Survey
- Provide lending support for all NAFCU branches by processing and issuing loans
- Answering phones promptly and courteously and taking precise and accurate messages, if necessary
- Processing and issuing loans and VISA applications via fax, internet, or over the telephone
- Aggressively promotes and sells by utilizing the CUNA Mutual Lender Development Program to Credit Union members. Responsible for promoting Credit Life and Credit Disability Insurance, underwritten by CUNA Mutual Insurance Society, sales to Credit Union members
- Required to achieve that CUNA Mutual Lender Development Program participants meet the branch goal and staff meets their individual goals for both Credit Life Disability Insurance and Credit Disability Insurance for the 12-month performance period.
- Actively cross sell credit union products and services
- Calculate loan payments and sell credit life and disability insurance
- Assist members with filing insurance claims
- Assist the Accounting Department in reconciling accounts; responsible for some accounting functions and providing reports as assigned
- Monitor and order required documentation
- Give NADA blue book values
- Cross train and provide backup to Indirect Lending, Business Lending, Mortgages, and Collections.
Non-Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Participates in special assignments and performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
State of Michigan Credit Insurance Producer License (within twelve months of assuming position)
Additional Desired Attributes:
One or more years of lending and/or underwriting experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Typical indoor office environment; must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time in a sitting position. Must be able to occasionally stand and move about or traverse inside the office to access cabinets, files, office machines, etc. Requires occasional lifting and/or carrying of less than 10 pounds. Requires continuous communication to others and exchanging of information and repetitive use of hand/fingers, such as keyboard typing and use of office equipment. Must be able to continuously think analytically, use written communication, concentrate on tasks and remember names and/or details. Required to occasionally handle stress and emotions.
