NAFCU Supports Gaylord's 100 Women Who Care
Northland is pleased to support the Otsego Community Foundation with a corporate partnership for 100 Women Who Care and a donation to the Covid-19 Response Fund. Half of the Northland donation goes to support the Covid-19 Response Fund of the Otsego Community Foundation. Last year this fund awarded $100,000 to help every facet of the community, from essential workers and restaurant employees to k-12 students and senior citizens. From mental health to PPE and technology to gas cards, the need was great, and the Covid-19 Response Fund was there to help. Northland is delighted to support this effort to help with the Otsego County community recovery. Pictured RT is Judy McKinley Branch Manager at Gaylord.

Agencies have reported that this was a tough year with Covid and first responders such as themselves having to deal with the effects of the pandemic. Marketing Director, Matt Duthler said, “Anything we can do to bring attention to our law enforcement agencies, and what they and their families sacrifice every day for our communities - is worth it.”
Northland Helps to Jumpstart Veterans Memorial
Northland recently donated $1,800 to the Veterans Memorial Park to jump start the new columbarium project in Oscoda. A columbarium is a structure with recesses called niches to house the ashes of the deceased.
The new columbarium will be erected inside the Pentagon Service Memorial at the Oscoda, Veterans Memorial Park to provide an honorable resting place for our U.S. military soldiers and their spouses.

NAFCU Supports Local Restaurants and First Responders
Northland recently donated meals to many different first responder agencies to provide these organizations a little relief from all the vital work they are doing during this pandemic and to support our local restaurants. “In at least one restaurant, six employees were able to be employed for the day to prepare and deliver the meals,” said Matt Duthler, Marketing Director. Alpena, Gaylord, Oscoda, and Tawas are just some of the areas Northland has purchased food from and donated to law enforcement, EMT, and medical staff. “Our first responders risk their lives during normal times, and now even more so - we certainly appreciate them and what they are doing for our communities,” said Pete Dzuris, CEO of Northland.
